ilovposting ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully before using ilovposting.

1 Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information needed to provide the Service:

• Account Information: Name, email address, or phone number when you register.
• Content Data: Posts, captions, and media you create or schedule through the app.
• Social Platform Tokens: OAuth tokens from connected social accounts (stored encrypted, used only to publish posts on your behalf).
• Usage Data: How you interact with the app, features used, and session duration — to improve the Service.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for debugging and support.

2 How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
• Publish scheduled posts to your connected social media accounts
• Send post reminders and in-app notifications you have enabled
• Respond to your support requests and inquiries
• Analyse usage patterns to improve app features and performance
• Send product updates and announcements (opt-out available)
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

3 Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these limited cases:

• Service Providers: Trusted vendors that help us run the Service (e.g., Supabase for database hosting, cloud analytics). They access only the data needed to perform their function.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you beforehand.
• With Your Consent: Any other sharing will only happen with your explicit consent.

4 Social Media Platform Access

When you connect a social media account (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp Business, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn), we request only the minimum permissions needed to schedule and publish posts on your behalf. We:

• Do not read your private messages or direct messages
• Do not access your followers' personal data
• Do not post anything without your explicit instruction
• Store OAuth tokens encrypted at rest using AES-256

You can revoke our access at any time from the platform's own settings (e.g., Instagram Settings → Apps → ilovposting → Revoke), or from the ilovposting Settings → Connected Accounts screen.

5 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• All data transmitted over HTTPS / TLS 1.3
• OAuth tokens encrypted at rest (AES-256)
• Secure, isolated database environment (Supabase/PostgreSQL)
• Regular security reviews and dependency audits

No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

6 Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Your profile, posts, and schedule data are deleted within 30 days
• Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely
• Backups are purged within 90 days of deletion

7 Children's Privacy

ilovposting is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@ilovposting.com and we will delete it promptly.

8 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request permanent deletion of your account and data
• Portability: Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
• Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances

9 Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses only essential session cookies to keep you logged in to the admin panel. We do not use:

• Third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels
• Cross-site tracking technologies
• Fingerprinting techniques

The mobile app does not use cookies. Anonymous crash and performance data may be collected via Expo's built-in telemetry, which you can disable in app settings.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email and/or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
